Join us at The Stage at The Corner for a night of soulful music and community, produced by and starring Muskegon native Sara Azriel. This event was inspired by Sara's desire to help heal and overcome what divides us in these uncertain times, and to connect through the transformative power of music—a force more vital than ever. Together, let's amplify what unites us as we seek harmony and meaning in our shared humanity.

Sara Azriel Performance
Sara Azriel is an eclectic singer and songwriter whose music combines the universality of pop, the sincerity of folk, and the richness of soul music. Sara was born and raised into a large musical family near the shores of Lake Michigan. Currently based in Rhode Island, Sara is an Assistant Professor of Voice at her alma mater - Berklee College of Music. Her music has been performed and broadcast world-wide. Recent credits include X-box game Ara: History Untold and a national ad campaign for Ashley Furniture. "Romantically heavy and elusive as moonlight, Sara Azriel’s music defies boundaries, brightens the heart, and casts light on a young woman painfully in love with the world around her.” (Eric Smith, Providence Monthly) "Sara is an angel, an exception to the rule, with a voice that can raise the most hardened soul to exhault, because it conveys all that she is, and feels good to all of us." (Brad Barr - The Barr Brothers) “She is going to be a big star. She sounds like a mix between Adele and Sarah McLachlan, both ethereal and simultaneously soulful and grounded." (China Forbes - Pink Martini)

Community Engagement
Support Our Artists
In additon to supporting Sara's art by attending this concert, there will be art works and small gifts for sale by several local artists and makers, curated by Gabrielle Schaub. This event will also support the The Stage at The Corner - a brand new venue in downtown Muskegon, whose mission is to provide community gathering space for the arts and culture.
Food and Winter Clothing Drive
Schaub family friends- Mark Poletti and Cindy Nichols - have been tirelessly feeding and caring for those in need, including Muskegon's unhoused community. They will be distributing your geneorus donations to various food/clothing pantries throughout Muskegon and also accepting cash donations to support the installation of a public water fountain on the Laketon Bike Trail. This fountain will provide access to clean water for hikers, bikers, and our unhoused community.
Community Sing
After Sara's performance, she and her family will lead the audience in a spirited community sing-along. Group singing is scientifically proven to enhance community bonds and provides physical, mental, emotional, and social health benefits. Simply put- it's fun and it feels good!
We want to extend so much gratitude to Michelle Harris and Fred Scharmer, owners of Harris Catering and The Deck. They have generously offered to provide complimentary light refreshments for the event.
A personal note from Sara Azriel:
This concert will be my first public performance in six years. Besides navigating the pandemic, I have been deeply immersed in musical study, and writing/arranging/orchestrating a new album. I am honored and thrilled to debut several new songs in my hometown, and to sing in community with all of you. Thank you so much for joining me for this special night.
